    Mark and Brand You must print, complete this form, and return back to our office along with a $20.00 payment for recording fee. Form must also be notarized if sending in the mail. 

    Marriage License  The Blanco County Clerk's office does not provide the service of marrying couples. We will provide the Marriage Certificate that needs to be filled out by the officiant performing the ceremony, and returned to our office. Please follow the steps below to apply for your certificate through our office. Appointments not necessary to obtain license. 

    STEP ONE: Complete Applicant portion of Marriage License Application ONLINE by clicking the blue Marriage License wording above. (If online access is unavailable to you, our office has computers for public use)

    STEP TWO: BOTH applicants are to appear together at the Blanco County Clerk's office, 101 East Cypress, Johnson City, TX between the hours of 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00  ** The 72 hour waiting period DOES NOT begin until you sign the application in our office.

    STEP THREE: Upon entering office inform the clerk that you completed the marriage application online and present your photo id for identification.

    STEP FOUR:  Provide payment, $76.00- Marriage License/ $41.00- Informal Marriage License. Our office accepts card, check, or cash as forms of payment,  if paying by cash, please have correct amount as we do not make change.

    STEP FIVE: Complete paperwork and sign before the clerk.

    ** In the State of Texas, a marriage license is valid for ninety (90) days from issuance with a seventy-two (72) hour waiting period until the license becomes valid. The marriage license may be used anywhere in the state of Texas. 

    Informal Marriage License

    MILITARY DISCHARGE: To file a military discharge you must come to office in person.
